has anyone here ever seen a transcription of the Illinois Jacquet solo from Flying Home by the Lionel Hampton band? Its a storming good track- supposed to be the point at which big band jazz started to become rock & roll (which, I'm sure many of you are thinking might not have been a good thing!- but, wow, did some of those 1940s swing bands rock!)
