My name is Chic Cieslik and I have been playing sax for about 40 years.
I was taught by Michael Guerra(taught John Coltrane, Gerry Mulligan) throughout my high school years and did some work way back then(in the '70's). I got sidetracked for 25 years(became a Dentist) and got back to the sax 6 years ago. I've since played with several groups(including trumpeter/recording artist Vaughn Nark). I sold my 84K MKVI last year and have finally found the replacement, a Yanagisawa T-5 which, coupled with my 50 yr old Runyon MP gives me a sound which I believe emulates Stan Getz rather closely(I grew up listening to and memorizing his records for countless hours and actually met him twice in Philadelphia). Currently I play my jazz at church in worship and am looking to play out more. Well I hope thats enough of an intrduction
