Hi, I'm Rin, I'm new... is there anything else I'm supposed to say?

Nah, this is a completely voluntary thing. You don't need to do it in order to become a member, but we do like new members to introduce themselves. This forum is becoming a larger community every day, and we're glad you joined it. However, if you wanted to, you could tell us, for instance, the number of years you've been playing, your primary musical interests, musical hobbies, etc. It's completely up to you.

I play alto, have been for three years. I also play the violin and piano. The sax is my favorite, though. I'm a freshman and am trying to improve my improvisation... but it's not going well at all. I think I saw forum about that somewhere here... I'll check that out.

Welcome to the club man! :D

I got seven years experience on alto, four on bari, and three on tenor...plus one year on clarinet and maybe two weeks at beating a flute against my music stand hoping I'll bend the embouchure plate enough in my direction so I CAN GET A SOUND OUT OF IT Evil or Very Mad ...*cough* *ahem*, sorry Twisted Evil ...got a little out of hand there.

You'll learn a lot through trial and error plus you'll learn a lot in forums (like this one, and mine) because more experienced people such as CamtheCat, BGM, myself, and etc will be along to help you. We HAD one guy on here who was like THE cat and had close to 40 years, but he didn't like the fact he was surrounded by teenagers. Such a pity...guess he didn't wanna teach Crying or Very sad

Welcome again and make yourself right at home! Cool
