I play a lot funk, smooth jazz, blues, and soul music so I need a mouth peice that gives me a dark smooth tone and I want the mouth piece to be a metal one, some say I should get otto link and Im thinking about getting 3 of those for my alto, tenor, and soprano saxes but I would like some advice from the group, also what kind of reeds should I use because I play on Vadorean and there good for classical music but are they good for jazz?

Vandoren reeds will darken your tone signifcantly.
As for metal pieces, I have no clue, _________________

Reeds alone aren't going to significantly alter the sound you're getting from your horn and MP setup. However synthetic and Rico Plasticover reeds will add a bit of buzz, edge and oomph. _________________ Saxismyaxe/Mike S.
