Hi, I'm looking to start playing the saxophone, but I have a problem - I'm not sure which style suits me best.
Are most saxophone teachers more partial to what kind of style they like best? Or do they all teach with a mixture of styles?
I'm mostly interested in blues/jazz music if that helps.
thanks x

Well, if you're interested with jazz, etc, go with it. Sure, you'll have to learn some fundamentals of every style to learn the saxophone, but if you want to focus on jazz, you can. Any good saxophone teacher should be able to teach you jazz.
Good luck! _________________ JP
