I understand that different finishes have different tones. What's yours and how does it sound compared to other finishes?

what I know:

Clear lacquer
Silver lacquer
Gold lacquer
Dark Gold Lacquer
Black lacquer
Matte brushed
Matte Lacquer
Silver Plated
Nickel plated
Gold Plated
Unlacquered
Silver
blue/red/star spangled banner Mr. Green

Solid gold?????

Hmmm...I heared that gold lac is brighter while silver is more mellow, true?

My horn is clear lacquer but made out of red brass as opposed to a yellow brass, warmer sound IMO. Cool

I've got a clear laquer, but I once owned a black nickel plated horn for about three months until the FBI took it away. Don't ask...

Gold lacquer on sop & bari Smile Sound is brighter, like the horns.
Dark antique lacquer on tenor and alto. Mr. Green These horns have larger bells than normal, so they may sound darker without the lacquer, but since they look dark, I think dark, they play dark!
