Is the intermediate one harder to play? Can someone who has never played a sax before start on an intermediate?(me)
Because I found out that the price of the two are almost the same.

There shouldn't be a difference in playability, and the "intermediate" horn should be better constructed and of more quality than the "student" horn. Good luck  _________________ JP

Plain "student" is plenty to become quite good on, sound good on, etc., and eventually you'll know whether you want to invest in a pro horn. To buy a horn inbetween student and pro would be a waste of cash.
You're saying they're about the same cash, so it's no biggie. If you don't already have a horn, play as many horns as you can and pick one out that you like the sound of. |
