This happened during the jazz band performance; trumpet player ran right through my first measure of solo

One time the second chair alto ran through the clarinet's soli unstead of waiting two more measures until it was time to play our soli. It was embarassing to me as a section leader.

At the jazz band concert a few years ago, our trumpet section ended up about 8 measures ahead, the 'bones were 2 measures behind, the piano wasn't playing, the drummer was just riffing(he was totally lost; killer drummer though), it was just me and the bari left on time playing over everyone else (thank god for santy runyon and jody espina). we would have salvaged the song, but the director (mediocre director, bad taste in music, not very jazzically literate) stopped us and told the audience "we seem to be having some technical difficulties..." It was so embarrassing. We started the song over and played through it horribly. My face was bright red.
No Joke.
At the same concert, when we were supposed to be walking off the stage, no one moved, i whisper-yelled "Get the hell up!!". I didn't realize the mic was on. Horrible
At a concert I just had last month, our director lost the 1st alto parts. It was a good thing i had the music memorized (really easy). I felt bad for the other guy. He just played a few measures of each song.

In our last concert of the year, our band which has a large amount of seniors had a very bad outbreak of senioritis and we where pretty bad. The first and second chair sax's missed every entrance and by some twisted luck ended up coming in on a clarinet solo/i every time, it wasn't that subtle either because when these guys come in they like to do it with a huge entrance. The other sections where just not there, they wanted to go off and party and there was just a general lack of intrest. We got lots of comments on the 'stupid saxes' after the concert.

Wow guys, I feel bad for you...
Anyway, this is the worst thing that's ever happened to me on a concert. One day, at summer camp last year, we were performing a piece called "Voodoo," by Daniel Bukvich. Not one of my favourites, I might add. You see, this piece is what some people would call "theatre music" - and one theatric aspect of this piece was to have the lights in the theatre completely off during the whole performance. At the very end of the piece, there is a short explosion of sound from the percussion section, and then all you hear is a bird whistle, and a special percussion instrument involving "bb's in a metal bowl."
Right at the end, when everything went absolutely silent, a clarinet player dropped his mouthpiece cap on the stage! :o The audience had no idea whether or not it was part of the piece, but quite a few of us let out stifled laughter. Not the worst thing that could have happened, but it was still pretty bad.

Not really at a concert, but during district solos and small ensembles, our second alto player forgot his music at the school (which was an hour away). So we had to quickly copy the full score and hide it, since it's against the rules to have copies.
Not a bad concert experience, but freshmen year in jazz (I was on tenor), the two alto players and I did a wave w/ our saxes during one of the pieces. It's a tradition that carries on to this day, since that piece has been played three years in a row now.
