Different Falls and Scoops?

I've been trying to practice different falls and scoops. I think it's called a scoop when you do the opposite of a fall and run up instead of down. Anyway, what are some different falls and scoops you do, I mean in notes. I can only do a fall and scoop from C downward.

I only use C down, too, but I'm trying to incorporate more. I'm studying very hard from cds right now, imitating n' stuff.

A scoop is a really hard bend, and a bend is when you basically do an overtone of a note...if I take an F and bend it up to a G# or A that is a scoop. I tended to do too much of it in my playing and come time for Wind Ensemble I sounded like $hit. So, I had to work on that, but it's fun in jazz!

Now I love falls like right before the solo break of a song...I usually do a fall from whatever the ending note is down to the low D. Oh that is sexy! Audience really appreciates it to!

You have to be versatile in your scoops and falls. Even on The Pink Panther for tenor sax you have to do a fall from mid F, and on alto you have to do a fall from mid D, and we all 3 of us don't know how to do those, so if we want to be able to play something even as easy as The Pink Panther theme song, then we better get practicing!

Hmm... Confused

I just did Pink Panther with some sixth grade saxes for part of my grad. The director might have arranged it differently but I don't recall falling very much...actually did some bending in some parts of the piece, but no falling. I have to look up the original!

It's in there, trust me.
