F.E.Olds brand?

For a beginner adding both soprano and alto after playing clarinet for many years we are looking at instruments from F.E. Olds. They seem to be ok in keywork and intonation from our examination. Certainly a student/intermediate pair of horns that we think are sourced from Taiwan. Strong warranty offered. Does anyone have any experience and comments on current Olds brand (not vintage Olds). Thanks for any input! :smile:

Even though it is not a very popular brand, I have found the OLDS horns to be very nice for the money. The brass isn't very high in quality, but that is to be expected in student horns. Just have a tech look the horn over when you get it for any pesky leaks, and you'll be ok!
