Help on choosing a SaxHey.
I'm looking to learn the sax. I'm thinking about buying a Stagg 77SA off ebay, but I'm concerned about the quality of the sax after reading some posts I can see buying a good instrument is important. I have some other intruments by Stagg. An acoustic guitar and a mandolin I'm pleased with both. So yeah. Any help would be good.

One word: Crap
Look around for some used Yamaha YAS-23's if you want a good deal. Or you can just rent a new one...a lil more expensive but probably well worth it. Those e-Bay things are rip-off's from the start. You'd have that sax for 6 months then I'd bet it would start to fall apart. So...you know what to do

Hrmmm. The only instrument manufacturer I can think of that actually makes good string instruments _and_ good horns both is Yamaha, and they're just crazy industrious. The other manufacturers I can think of that do both make poor instruments for JCPenney and the like. :p Never heard of Stagg, but if you like the strings, that's something. Shouldn't buy a sax without playing it (or without having the option of returning it after having played it), though.

Stagg 77-SAi own a stagg 77-sa and it is a nice instrument, plays well and sounds good. as for how long it will last (as mentioned above), i dont know, but it looks and feels well built.
