How many saxes, and or other instruments do you own? I currently own a c.1970 Bundy clarinet, a c.1919 Martin C melody sax, a 1922 King Voll-True alto, and a Yanagisawa Elimona alto.

I mentioned to CMELODYMAN and JP how many horns I have accumulated over the years, and they asked me to list them all here. I will apologize in advance to those who know me, and have heard all this before.

31. Selmer SBA Tenor, 1947 in gold plate, with extra engraving to bell.

33. Selmer MkVI Alto, 1957 in gold laq.
34. Antigua Winds 586 Sop. in gold laq. Not a bad horn from Taiwan and cheap as dirt. I'm impressed with it for the money.
I do restore and repair my own horns, when possible.
Funny thing is, I really only keep about 7 of these out at any given time to play. The rest are in their cases in storage. I do rotate out some of them, but stick to my two favorite tenors, THE MARTIN Tenor and 30M.
I have a lot of other instruments including ( I play them all too. I won't collect it if I can't play it): Clarinets, trumpets, trombones, coronets, recorders. Krummhorns, Shawms, Flutes, Harmonicas, Violins, banjos. I also play the Great Highland Bagpipe, three sets: A 1904 Peter Henderson mounted in ivory, a 1952 R. G. Hardie in Full Silver and Ivory, and a 1990's R. G. Hardie in Imit. Ivory and Nickel Silver-all in African Blackwood. And I play the Northumbrian Smallpipes, although I don't presently own a set of those.
Before anyone asks, NONE ARE FOR SALE. I though about selling one of my horns awhile back, and got cold feet. I need to stick to (actually STOP!) collecting and not selling.
I have owned a lot of other instruments including many other saxophones, but either sold, or traded those at various times while building my hoard. I have owned quite a few modern horns, mostly Selmer, with a Keilwerth and Yani amoung them, but have possitively settled on vintage American. To tell the truth, I don't play my Vintage Selmers much at all, either.
BTW, I also collect firearms, I do have to protect all of this you know Laughing

Hope you don't think I'm totally crazy with my addiction people. It looks like the people in the white coats could collect a few others among us when they come knocking, though. Shocked

P.S. I forgot to mention my Conn New Wonder Series II "CHU" Tenor in gold plate. I guess I have more horns than I thought!
Don't ask about the mouthpieces I've accumulated. Embarassed

RE the mouthpieces: I have lost count, but I have two packing boxes and a 12 X 14 case filled with them. I'd guestimate at least 100. Many good ones that I purchased on their own merit, and quite a few that came with horns I bought, and rejected to their present resting place. Unlike my horns, one day I will probably catalog them all, and sell the unwanted ones.
Bariman, my apology was to members such as yourself who had seen my inventory list before. Believe it or not, there are collectors who have a far larger collection than mine. Where they house it is beyond me, as I am covered up, let me tell you! Also, although I have collected prime examples of the more desirable standard pro models, there are many who specialize in the rarer, and odd saxophones i. e. Saxellos, unusual pitched horns, Conn-O-Saxes etc. I haven't delved into that area (Thankfully!).
