I own a.....AS500, as I am still a student. It was at a good price so it does me well.

I'm thinking...what does it look like, or do you have pics? Looks from pics on Google like an AS300 with some different things...clear me up on this. Yea, most of the Selmer USA saxes (not LaVoix) are great student horns. I've played on a TS200 which is Selmer's cream of the crop student tenor and I found it all right. I would still rather play my LaVoix, but hey, who's complaining?

Yes, it's very shiny! Very shiny, and very expensive, too - it was $4k!

JP,
Sure, I'll try and take a few pictures of my sax. I won't be able to post them on the net, though, so if you want pictures of them, just PM me, and I'll send them to you. That goes for anyone else who wants to see what my sax looks like.
However, I may not get this done for a bit. I'm going on vacation to Shuswap lake, BC for about a week, so I probably won't have the pictures until I get back. I will try and get them to you as soon as I can.

Tom,
Why can't ya post them on the net? Afraid of someone over-drooling....

(If anyone wants to trade )
I got my alto with gold plating for a little more than $3k. I got a great deal on it.

I'm thinking of getting one of those References...
But you still can't have it
It's either a Reference or a Custom EX (Yamaha)
|
Louis Scuderi

I have a Yamaha.
References are nice, but given a the choice, JP, I would get the EX.
PS- Of course I would rather have a Z.
|
JPSaxMan
|
I think I'd rather have a Z too now that I know that the EX's are more classical type horns

Two great Selmer horns, big and little:
A SA 80 Serie II Bass and a SA 80 Serie III Soprano.
They both play great, but the bass is the head-turner. Best described as looking like a pregnant bari.
