Which model did you get? I play a Morgan 6J on soprano and am extremely happy with it.

When I bought my Soprano, whoever owned it last had just bought the mouthpiece...it's a 4J....
I was going in between the mouthpiece that came with the horn and the Morgan, and once I got the Morgan with the correct reed, viola!!!!

Tough to go wrong with Morgan mouthpieces. I have a 8L for tenor that is as fine a mouthpiece as you could want. His pieces are all hand finished, if you can get the early low serial numbered ones there is a good chance it was faced by Morgan himself. He has trained staff working for him now.
The Bilger Morgans are good pieces as well I used to play a 6M on Alto. When Morgan 1st started out making his own pieces he joined up with Bilger was established. I believe Morgan worked for Selmer when younger and was responsible or the old soloist designed pieces. The Morgans are made with very high grade hard rubber the Bilger Morgans are about 20 years old and are good rubber as well. They usually sell low on ebay because few know what they are. Facings and chambers are very similar to what he makes today.
