Emergency repair supplies in case

Do you guys have any sort of repair supplies in your case in case your sax breaks at a gig, or before a concert? I usually carry: a bottle of key oil, a tube of cork grease, rubberbands, and a small screwdriver set.

And I'm also about to buy a 19 inch flexible leak light from musicmedic.com to put in there too.

Emergency kit

I have a few extra reeds, a screw drivr, a place to keep pads if they pop out which hasn't happened fortunately, and if they will fit , a reed trimmer and a sharpedge kinfe to adjust the reeds during a concert, etc.

That sounds pretty good, although I'd recommend you putting in more repair supplies. :D

I also put my Selmer Bundy clarinet in case my director expects me to double which I've done. Except I thought that in 8th grade I wouldn't have to do that but boy was i wrong!

Doubling is awesome. I usually do tenor/bari in the pit and next year the director might even have me doin alto too! Crazy crazy! :P

I usually carry a spare sax.

Our sax quartet was playing Holiday In Dixie 2004 and in the middle of one song, I was playing a solo on soprano and one of the screws fell out. I set it down and grabbed my other soprano and finished like it was part of the tune. Total time to swap, 3 seconds. Total time to find screw, re-install and check adjustments, 5 minutes. Makes a big difference on a pro gig.
