Silk Cloth for InsideDo any of you use a silk cloth attached to a string and wieght to remove the spit from the inside when you are done playing? I have been using one of these, but I have been wondering if there is anything better.

It's called a swab, and yes, I use one. Everyone should use a swab, and the silk ones are the best IMO (they also make cotton, chamois, etc.). So, keep on using it after each time you play.

I too use a swab and you should use one along with a pad guard

I use a swab. I want to get a pad saver put they cost like $20 at the local music store. Does anybody here use a neck cleaner?

I have a Hodge swab, which is tapered so that it will go through the entire instrument (fully assembled), so I don't need a neck cleaner.

I have a LaVoz Neck Guard which just wipes out all the fluid. If I have a heavy playing session I usually run it through once and then shake it out...don't do that around a cute girl or your p***ed off band director ...then I put it back in so that the neck can stay dry.
