Why??why are alto, tenor, and bari saxes curved, but soprano's not ??: ??

I have a curved soprano

A curved soprano has very cramped keywork, and it is easier to manufacturer a staright horn.

Plus I do believe the two sound somewhat different, maybe? ??: ...kinda goin out on a limb with that one.

Very true. The sound achieved on a curvy is much sweeter, while a straight horn usually yields a more brighter and edgier tone.

Yea, if you listen to Dave Koz, he plays on both a straight (Yamaha YSS-62 silver) and a curved (Conn 1912 I think) soprano, and I can hear the difference between the two!
