Need a HookFor the forum to work you need an element to seperate yourself from Sax on the Web. Its huge, comprehensive, and...did I say huge (and excellent IMHO). You need to find a special niche that they dont have. I dont want to rain on anyones parade but an attempted repeat of what SOTW does is unlikely to draw enough attention. Even Goodson's site sees minimal traffic. That in part is because SOTW offers so much, second; he ripped off their format shamelessly and third; he is an intollerable A$$. Chats or something novel might help to draw a larger audience.

I agree with you that SOTW is excellent. How long has it been around? Did it start out like this? You should join this forum, Sigmund, you'd be a valuable asset in helping this forum grow.

Then this would be like a copy of SOTW. They have a French forum. Maybe another language, but not French.

Actually, that would be Hindi, followed by English, and THEN Spanish at number 4 .

Actually, SOTW doesn't actually have a French forum. What it does have is two different versions of the site, one in English, and one in French. It can't actually translate the message text, however, so it could possibly work for here. :P

I have proposed this forum on SOTWF, and used the idea of a smaller forum, easier to keep up with. I've talked to alot of people who don't even visit SOTWF any more because of the shear magnitude of new posts every day, which easily pushes 100 posts in an average day. I hope that helps, that's the only thing I could think of that could attract people. It's what attracted me!
