Ones that you can beat up...maybe?
For alto I either used mine (Armstrong) or a YAS-23
For bari the past two years I've used a Bundy Selmer...now I'll either be using a Selmer 156A or a Yamaha YBS-52...but the Yamaha is new and I'm not too fond of taking it out to the elements.

Use a sax that's cheap, and will be replacable if gets too beat-up, without any sadness(meaning don't use a Borgani in marching band because if that gets messed-up then you've lost a $5000 sax, wheareas Bundies only cost about a $100 on eBay, so you wouldn't be crying your eyes out if you broke it.

Good marching band hornsPersonally I would use my Yamaha YAS23 alto. If I used my tenor and it got screwed, actually I could use either because I nevr use the alto and I have a 5 year warranty on the keys of my tenor. All I have to do is protect them from bad weather. But if you have a YAS23 just use it. Good luck

I used an old 'King' saxophone for marching band. They where very sturdy (I used 2). The first one I used was dropped off of the top of like 20 foot bleachers and i picked it up, banged in a key that fell out of alignment (Either low C or Eb) and continued playing and it was great. The second one was after my first one was sent to a jazz band kid and it played just as good. They did tarnish kind of funny and had a very weird colour of 'rust'

So did my Armstrong...the Conn 24MHF and the new King alto's are a lot alike in cosmetics and constuction.
