YAS 52-II (Alto)I have this sax, and it is great for the intermediate/advanced player. The only problem I find with it, is that no matter how much I grease the cork, my mouth peice is hard to put on. Its probably just because the mouth peice is a touch too small for the cork (I have the Selmer Paris S90). Just thought I'd mention that. Does anyone else have the 52-II?

I have the same problem with my YAS-23 and my Meyer 5M...Maybe a little sandpaper could take care of it, a little risky though.

Bah, to replace a neck cork shouldn't cost more than $10, and that's if you screw it up bad enough. Just get a fine grit piece of sand paper, and wrap it around the cork, and give it a few twists. If you don't feel comfortable, a tech can probably do it for you on the spot for a small fee.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

I happened to just have replaced the neck cork of my tenor. I feel pretty darn handy right now.
