Tounging to Hard

Ok I've always toungued way to hard. I didn't realize it untill I showed up for an audition and I got told that I was tounging way to hard. It has been a bad habit ever since I was in the fifth grade and I find it unbelievably hard to toungue softer. Does anybody have any tips?

Bring your tongue to your lips like you're going to give somebody a raspberry...then forcefully bring your tongue back to make like a suction type sound. Do this for like 5 minutes, and I guarantee after about 2 weeks or so, you'll definitely notice a difference in your tonguing. Cool

lol i feel embarresed but I dont know what a rasberry is, can you explain it to me so I can work on my tounging?

Ok...stick your tongue out and blow...you get like a pffftttt sound...you usually do that at girls you like or something like that? So maybe using the raspberry was a bad idea...just stick your tongue out so that the tip is out of your mouth...then pull back Cool

Another easy way to practice tonguing, is to make the ta sound with your lips open. You will realise that your tongue will move front to back. Try doing this as fast as you can with out sacraficing your tongue movement, do this a couple of minuts each day. Your tongue (beeing a muscle) will after a while remember this movement naturally. Then you will start tonguing with out even thinking of it. Try It...
