Does anyone here use plasticover or fibracell reeds? How long does a reed usually last? Are they more consitent in sound and quality than cane?

The Plasticover reeds ARE actually cane reeds just coated with a plastic cell. This gives them the look and feel of cane but the sound qualities and control of plastic.

I used them in the grade school, all right for beginners because they're easier to blow on. For projection? Nada.

I've used a BARI reed on bari (haha) and I'm not exactly sure if I like it...it tends to squeak up high. Sad

I use the plasticover reeds and i find them a lot better. They're softer on your lip and allow you to play for longer
