resonatorsI've been playing a Yanagisawa 992 at work and been blown away by the percussive effect of its resonators at the bottom end of the horn. Now- I'm in no position to rush out and buy a 992, plus i'm very happy with my Conn- But I have been thinking of getting resonatos fitted. Has anyone ever tried this? Any thought on make, do you fit top to bottom etc?

I think resonators are a very good option for a serious player, as they can improve your sound and overall tone. I have seemless domed resos. on my Conn baritone from musicmedic.com with those Roo skin pads. Very good match. There are literally hundred of resos. variations, varying with size, shape, and material. I would definetly look into it. I am no expert on how the specific ones sound, but talk to Curt and get a suggestion. He's a good guy, very knowledgeable.
