SML saxophonesAnyone know anything about SML saxes? French instruments from the 1950s- apparently with a similar feel to Keilwerths- big bell, big sound.. sounds like an ideal rock & roll horn to me. Anyone had any direct experiences of these?

I haven't had any personal experience wuth SML saxes. However, I did look into them a few weeks ago, out of curiousity. Pete Hales and Fred Cicetti have written some great articles on the subject. Several great articles at saxontheweb.net. You might want to starthere
Good Luck!

Jules, in the last six months since you asked, have you come up with any interesting information on SML's?
I have had a standing request for a scrounger I know to keep his eye out for an SML. He thinks he'll find one for me. I rather doubt it. It's been a year now.
Do you have one?
