Hiya

Um.... help?

My mouthpiece is stuck on the neck of my sax. Any ideas on how to get it off?

I kinda busted my arm and friction burnt my hand lol.

How is that possible? Do you like NOT take the mouthpiece off your neck or something?

Uhh...pliers, cork grease, key/bore oil, and of course, a hammer will most likely take it off Very Happy

*Cringe*

Anyway, The above methods could work, but use padding under any contacts so you don't scar the plastic too badly. Worst case scenario, take it to a tech. Preferably under a fake name.

Well, it sounds like that's quite a pickle you're in. I wouldn't spend too much time trying to fix the problem yourself - you should just go right to an instrument repair shop and get them to fix the problem for you. Also, do you use cork grease? If you don't, then that's probably a contributing factor. If you have to struggle a lot to get the mouthpiece on and off the neck, then either put some cork grease on the neck cork, or get a tech to check it out. All the parts of your sax should fit together snugly, but not too snugly. If they don't, then there's a problem. Wink

I just got it out (luckily). I accidently left it on while going on vacation. The weather kinda contracted the mouthpiece and made it stuck on there.

Thanks guys :].

Good to here. Sometimes you have to remove the neck cork to get mpc's off.
