Universal Method

Universal Method for Saxophone by Paul DeVille

Anyone use this book?
A few crazy kids I know use it and refer to it as the Sax Bible
If you play from it, what exercises are your favorite?

I learned from it, ditched it for a few years, and uncovered it a few months ago. It was totally worth the outrageous price I paid for it at the time.

AFIAK it's the only big, fat method book there is for saxophone. Haven't looked at it in a while, but I like triplet exercises and some of the solos at the end are okay.

Greetings,

I really found myself enjoying German Air from the book.

This is a really great method book. I used it when I was in college and used it a lot with my good students. It is great for technic and sight reading. It covers exercise in all keys and levels of difficulty. excellent ++++++book
