Weird sax quartets

What are some weird saxophone quartets that you've heard of or seen? By weird I mean instead of thee usual soprano, alto, tenor, and bari there are other, less common saxes.
JPSaxMan

The Nuclear Whales has the usual, plus a rare Buffet Eb Contrabass, and a sopranino to boot! Cool

I didn't even know that an F bari existed Shocked !
Bleeding_Gums_Murphy

I don't think there ever was an F bari. There was a C bass, but...

There was definately an F Bari...

I played a quartet that was for Sopranino, Alto, Tenor and Bass. Cool tune, and a crowd pleaser at that.

The F bari would be a high pitch horn. In our quartet, we have used a 'nino, a C soprano and the straight C Melody. The bass is currently going through a complete restoration in my shop. It had been used as a flower pot! I'm going to do the body in kameleon purple with gold plated keys and bell.

Why would someone use a vintage bass sax as a flower pot? It's a good thing that you got a hold of it and are restoring it.

Dave,

If someone isn't sax inclined, how are they gonna kno it's a vintage sax? Confused??:

Some people don't care!
