What mpc and sax did you start on?

Way back, when I first started playing, I had a Mark VI alto. I got it for a good price, much cheaper than they are today. I don't remember what mpc I started on though. How about you guys?
CMelodyMan

I started on a '22 King Voll-True, and a Selmer Goldentone mpc. That was the worst mpc I've ever played on Mad Mad .

What do you mean "I HAD" a Mark VI alto? WHERE IS IT???!!!

I started (and still play on) an Armstrong alto with a Conn Precision piece.

I sold it to help pay for college. That was the worst decision I ever made. Evil or Very Mad Mad It was one of the earlier ones. I think it was made somewhere around 1961-1962.

Bundy II with a Bundy mouthpiece...I don't think that there are any numbers to it, but it Just said Bundy on the top. Every person who has a Bundy got it. It was such a bad mouthpiece, I didn't realise it until I got off of it.
alto-girl

I rented a Jupiter SAS-667. Not sure what mpc I had...I think it said Premiere or something like that on it.
Louis Scuderi

YTS-23 With stock mpc.

I started on a student model Yamaha alto sax, of which I never bothered to check the make or the serial number. My first mouthpiece was some crappy no name brand, and it was about $20. I didn't really start the sax on the right foot. ,mhg

Really?

The student model altos arent bad, I started on one, and It had a better tone than any of my friend's bundys. I started with the stock mpc, but I chipped that Embarassed and got a premier hite.

But in a few weeks...I get my alto serie II!!!!! Yay Much?

My first sax was a rented sax. A Yamaha Student Alto with stock mpc.
Tully

Yamaha YTS-23 with stock mouthpiece. Soon after, I started using a bandmate's metal Link 6, which, in retrospect, was a terrible specimen of a Link.

Going back to the VERY beginning, I started playing saxophone altogether on a Vito alto which was a rental, and most likely a plastic stock mouthpiece is what I used. Then later on I started playing on an Antigua (unsure of model) with yet another stock mouthpiece. For a while I liked playing on a Yani metal, but soon switched because I grew out of the sound (and I played alto in the concert band, so it didn't blend very well with everyone else, who all used either plastic or harder rubber mouthpices).

The first tenor I started on was an Antigua (unsure of model) and plastic stock mouthpiece. Then about a year ago I upgraded to a Keilwerth SX90R, which I am currently playing on and hope to continue playing on for a long time. I've switched around with mouthpieces some, such as a Morgan, Runyon, Rico Royal, and Berg Larsen (metal). I currently use a Beechler for tenor.

altosaxgeek5

I started, like Jacob, on a rented Vito with the stock mpc that came with it. I now play an Antigua... odd coincedence, eh?
anko91

Alto King SilverSonic with a metal Brillhart mpc. It was a loaner from a friend of the family. Funny thing was there was one other alto beginner and he had a SilverSonic, too. So I thought it was a normal thing.
