Writing a song-i'm not too sure if im aloud to do this, but what the heck-i've just had an idea (sorta) why don't we have a competition (sorta  ) for who can write the best instrmuental song?
All we need is to split ourselfs into groups of two and write a song (any gender) 1. Jordan-martin & Jp saxman 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. just say if you want to be in it and i'll sign u guys up. (i need a partner) |

Oh I have Finale...I don't like it. I can't get it to transpose....I pick the instruments and I tell it not to do it in concert key but it does anyway. I digress...:-( | ||

Have you tried downloading their newest edition, Joel? I haven't encuntered any such problems. Sibelius is also a good program that is free.

Actually, Sibelius isn't free - far from it. That's just the demo; you can't save, some features are disabled, you can only print one page, and that page has a watermark on it. That's basically the same for the Finale demo. Sibelius and Finale cost about the same; it's just that some people prefer one over the other. Think about it - if one developer lowered their prices, the other one would do the same, and they would just keep going at it. That's a cardinal rule of economics, my friend. JP, You mentioned you were having some difficulties with Finale. If you're having any problems, and I mean any problems, send me a PM. I've been using Finale for 5 years - I'll more than likely be able to help.

Oh I know, but the demo is a good showcase, and you can get stuff done with it.
