Just get people's opinions and on Cam's Jazz Authority sites.
The one exercise I use is to start on a low D...then go up two octaves WITHOUT using the octave key. This help strengthens it by quite a bit. Keep doin that and you should get some more chops! _________________ JP

I've played a chromatic scale throughout my entire range (Bb to F#) without using the octave key - more than once, too. It's really not that hard, it just requires a slight change in your embouchure. _________________ Thomas Hay

I've done three octave A and G today and yesterday. Not THAT hard...just requires a little chops and some air _________________ JP
