Hello everyone. About a week ago, one of the neighborhood kids who lives near me and is a saxophonist needed help on some music. Well, since I'm the only experienced saxophonist in my neighborhood,(I've been playing for 28 years) he thought it best to come to me. I gladly helped him, and that episode inspired me to go back into private lesson teaching. Since it's been a while since I taught privately, I'm wondering if there are any newer good books out there, mostly for beginners, but for some intermediate students, too. Recommendations on "old" books are fine too, if you have found publications that you really like. I appreciate any help.

Hi there,
Did you manage to find a good book? Just wanted to post to congratulate you on becoming a teacher. Hope you are enjoying giving the kids lessons.. It must be a good feeling to help someone out and see them learn.
Good luck with it. |
