You need to have your classical stuff down tho. No college will accept you on your jazz ability alone...hard fact I had to face and now I'm four years behind the curve!

| I started clarinet in 5th grade and the saxophone in the midst of 6th grade. My 7th grade year has just ended so... I've been playing for about 1 1/2 year (I'm planning to play from now, to the rest of my life lol). I've also play the trumpet, alto clarinet, tenor, drumset, piano and flute pretty decently. Don't worry, I practice the alto a lot :P. |

I've been playing sax for 5 years. I started on trumpet in grade 7, and played that until Christmas the same year. I hated it, and wanted to try the saxophone. It was Lisa Simpson (from the TV show, not one of our new members...) that got me interested in the sax. :D So, ever since January of 2001, I've been blowing away at the sax! :D _________________ Thomas Hay

I'm glad you decided to switch from trumpet to sax. :D That was a great idea. If my brother was here right now, he'd kill me for what I just said. He's a trumpet player, and me and him are always arguing over which is better, the trumpet or the sax, but we all know that I'm right and he's wrong. No instrument beats the saxophone! :D _________________
