Just saying hello for the first time.
Been hugely on the busy side learning scale after scale modes etc for an audition into the con here.-(Perth Australia) I'm a very enthusiastic beginner (been playing about 1 year) and decided to try out for an intense course. Ouch! hard work but I am learning and not standing still . Unfortunately there is a lot of theory involved and I'm pretty shaky on call and response + LOTS OF OTHER STUFF....So crossing my fingers as to getting in. However there are some good alternatives have opened up along the way in the way of teachers so I'll keep plugging away....
I just dicovered a cool tenor player, "Teddy Edwards" any fans out there?
So yeh I play Tenor and really like late ish be bop./ swing
I recently bought a intermediatte level Yamaha Razz I'm impressed with the weight of the instrument and playability etc/ would have liked something old and cool but I recently found a "Maestro" mouthpeice from 50's and it's really giving me that vintage sound.
