Where do you practice? Do you have a special "practice room" that you practice in, or does your mom make you play outside to bother the neighbors, but not her, like my mom tried to make me do once? I usually practice in my room, but I also practice in the room designated for guests.

I usually practice in my bedroom. I like the small environment - it keeps me focused. However, I sometimes practice in the downstairs family room, too. I have 2 keyboards in there, and I can use them to tune, play chords, etc. while I practice.

Plus you have acoustical benefits if you practice in a smaller room. Sometimes if I wanna really hear myself I play next to the door so the sound bounces right off it and into my line of direction. I don't mean to brag, but considering I play on an S80 C* and Vandoren's that I think needed to hit the trash can quite a while ago, I sound pretty bright. I usually find this when I do play against the door...I can hear the brightness easier. Either the horn or the player...and this new horn is supposed to have a 'warmer' sound to it...hmm... Confused it's cool either way Cool
