Hello Everyone! I just joined the forum. I am a saxophone player, of course! I'm excited about talking with you all.

Hey BMJ. Are the numbers in your handle your birthday? If so I pity you for you share the same birthday as my father (well, minus about 40 years or so )
How long have you been playing? Play any other instruments besides sax? Please, spill the beans _________________ JP

Hey BMJ, welcome to the forum! :D
8 years - well, you've got me beat. I'm in grade 12 (what you would call senior), and I've only been playing for 5. You see, we start band in grade 7, and that is also the year junior high (middle school for you) starts. What grade did you start playing the sax? _________________ Thomas Hay

Naw, my school doesn't have a marching band. I don't think any schools in Canada do, either (this is anyone's cue to prove me wrong). I mainly play concerts with my school concert band, and Jazz 1. This last year, I was in the pit band for one of my school's productions, Seussical the Musical. I also played for the Queen of England, who visited Alberta in June for our province's centennial celebration. She was doing a walkabout of Churchill square, and she stopped to listen to us for about 10 seconds! Wow, what a gigantic honour that was... Next year, I also hope to be involved in Kiwanis - an auditioned arts festival that features music, dance, and drama students. _________________ Thomas Hay

| That's pretty cool...actually, my band went to London over the last Christmas break. We marched in the New Years Day Parade there. It was pretty cool. We were there for a week. We got in a lot of sight seeing, it was awesome. Kiwanis? That's a service organization where I live, haha. Crazy. |
