Have you ever noticed a difference a big difference in sound between a modern and vintage saxophone? The reason that I'm asking this, is because when I got my modern Yani, it's sound was so much more powerful than my 1922 King Voll-True.

Most of the American made horns during the 30's, 40's, 50's, and the other vintages up till the 80's like Mark VI's, VII's, and I guess your Elimona were more powerful than the horns of the 20's! Cool

Depends on the brand. Some vintage horns SCREAM and others don't, ya know. And some new horns SCREAM and others don't.

Tell that to my bari. He's 85 years old, and can show any modern baritone a thing or two.

Correct. Conns of this time were 'on a roll', and had many inovations that other manufacturers hadn't even thought of yet. The only thing lacking was the limitation of only high Eb.
