So I was walking through the local salvation army today, looking for some amazing find and i saw these clarinets in the display window. well i had the lady show them to me, and one was plastic and not too old and had been there a long time, but the other one has only been out about a week.
It -you can tell- is a really wood old clarinet. i only got to look at it for a second, but pretty much what i saw was that the thumb rest is completely gone. the bottom Bb key sticks and there's some chewed up lookin cork.
the only name i saw on it was "Martin" and something about paris or france.
The thing is for sale for $80 and i really don't know if thats a good deal or not (yeah i really don't know clarinets but i have a giant weakness for old instruments). so i was curious to know what you guys think.

Martin is a stencil brand of Lyon&Healy. They made pretty good instruments. I think you'd be pretty safe in buying it, although I don't know much about clarinets either...... _________________
