How many saxes, and or other instruments do you own? I currently own a c.1970 Bundy clarinet, a c.1919 Martin C melody sax, a 1922 King Voll-True alto, and a Yanagisawa Elimona alto.

Umm.... One Antigua Winds 520LQ Alto, one Vito Bb clarinet, Casio keyboard, cardboard dulcimer, guitar that I'm learning, electric drum set that I doddle around with, and, curiously, a tuba mouthpiece. _________________

I mentioned to CMELODYMAN and JP how many horns I have accumulated over the years, and they asked me to list them all here. I will apologize in advance to those who know me, and have heard all this before.
Here goes in no particular order:
1. 3 Conn 10Ms ranging in date from 1936 to 1967 with the first 2 in Gold laq., and the last in Silver plate with underslung octave key.
2. 3 Conn 6Ms: 1. 1935 in goldplate, 2. 1941 VIII in Gold laq. 3. 1947 in Gold laq.
3. Conn Tranny Baritone 1932/33 in gold Laq (not original finish)
4. 1938 Conn 30M in Gold laq. (Still looking for an example of a 30M in gold plate)
5. 1940 Conn 26M in Gold Laq.
6. Conn New Wonder Bass in Silver plate.
7. Conn New Wonder I C-Melody in Silver plate with Gold wash Bell inter.
8. Conn New Wonder II Sop. in gold plate.
9. Conn Wonder Stencil C-Melody in bare brass marked E. Domage, Phill. Penn. Curved neck.
10. Conn NW I C-MEL Stencil in Silver plate marked WURLITZER. with nickel key work.
11. Conn NW I C-MEL Stencil re laq. marked MASTERBUILT, THE SAXOPHONE SHOP. Chicago, Ill.
12. Buescher TT Alto, 1930 in gold plate, with extra rich engraving.
13. Buescher TT Tenor 1933 in gold Laq.
14. Buescher TT Bari in bare brass (stripped?) c. 1930/31.
15. Buescher TH & C Alto 1949 in Gold laq.
16. Buescher TH & C Tenor 1950 in Gold Laq.
17. Buescher TT Sop. c. 1928 in silver plate.
19. H. N. White King Alto 1925 re laq in gold.
20. King Voll True Alto in gold laq.
21. King Zephyr Alto in gold laq c. 1935.
22. King Zephyr Tenor in gold laq c. 1936
23. King Zephyr Bari in gold laq c. 1940
24. King super 20 Tenor 1950 in gold laq.
25. King Silversonic Tenor in gold plate, full pearl keywork, silver and neck/bell.
26. Martin Comm II Alto in gold laq.
27. Martin Comm II Tenor in gold laq.
28. Martin Comm I "THE MARTIN" Tenor, 1947 in gold laq. Near mint including near mint case. A closet horn, and not a dud as it plays outstanding. One of my principle tenors.
29. Martin Comm I "THE MARTIN" alto in gold laq. 1950
30. Martin Comm I "THE MARTIN" Baritone 1957 in Gold re laq. slightly later serial number replacement neck. a great bari.
31. Selmer SBA Tenor, 1947 in gold plate, with extra engraving to bell.
32. Selmer MKVI Tenor, 1955 in gold laq.
33. Selmer MkVI Alto, 1957 in gold laq.
34. Antigua Winds 586 Sop. in gold laq. Not a bad horn from Taiwan and cheap as dirt. I'm impressed with it for the money.
I do restore and repair my own horns, when possible.
Funny thing is, I really only keep about 7 of these out at any given time to play. The rest are in their cases in storage. I do rotate out some of them, but stick to my two favorite tenors, THE MARTIN Tenor and 30M.
I have a lot of other instruments including ( I play them all too. I won't collect it if I can't play it): Clarinets, trumpets, trombones, coronets, recorders. Krummhorns, Shawms, Flutes, Harmonicas, Violins, banjos. I also play the Great Highland Bagpipe, three sets: A 1904 Peter Henderson mounted in ivory, a 1952 R. G. Hardie in Full Silver and Ivory, and a 1990's R. G. Hardie in Imit. Ivory and Nickel Silver-all in African Blackwood. And I play the Northumbrian Smallpipes, although I don't presently own a set of those.
Before anyone asks, NONE ARE FOR SALE. I though about selling one of my horns awhile back, and got cold feet. I need to stick to (actually STOP!) collecting and not selling.
I have owned a lot of other instruments including many other saxophones, but either sold, or traded those at various times while building my hoard. I have owned quite a few modern horns, mostly Selmer, with a Keilwerth and Yani amoung them, but have possitively settled on vintage American. To tell the truth, I don't play my Vintage Selmers much at all, either.
BTW, I also collect firearms, I do have to protect all of this you know .
Hope you don't think I'm totally crazy with my addiction people. It looks like the people in the white coats could collect a few others among us when they come knocking, though.
P.S. I forgot to mention my Conn New Wonder Series II "CHU" Tenor in gold plate. I guess I have more horns than I thought!
Don't ask about the mouthpieces I've accumulated.
I'm going to stop typing now, PLEASE! _________________ Saxismyaxe/Mike S.
