How long was your band camp that you had this summer? I went to a voluntary band camp for only two days...

I have to go to a non volintary marching band camp. It is in the middle of cornfields in Princeton, IL. we are stuck there for a week with crappy food and hot weather. I figured out this year (camp is done and over with) that we practice some where around 12 hours a day for 6 days. This band camp we learned somewhere around 40 charts of drill, and (I am in the color guard) about 20 sets of work to go with the drill. we have some thing like 1/2 of our show done just from band camp.

We had two full weeks of camp. Freshmen and section leaders went for four hours, and the sophomores through seniors showed up half way through. When school starts back up, we'll be required to show up half an hour before school starts. That gives us two full hours every other day. _________________ NEW SAXOPHONE!!!

We've got band camp in Rio Grande, in the heat, for about 12 hours a day for a week. After that, we've got 2-4 hours every DAY for marching band, with the exception of tuesdays. It's a trade off, though. Jazz band is only an hour a day, 2 days a week. _________________ Music IS Life
