On my Selmer LaVoix one of the rods that goes in conjunction with the three main low keys keeps coming out, even after tightening. What is going on? Confused

Take the rod out, slowly and carefully. Is it bent? If it is, you'll have to straighten it. It also may not be the right size.

One of my sax's had this problem, and I fixed it by doing the following:

I took a small screwdriver and placed it against the screw and striked it with my rawhide mallet. This caused a burr to protrude into the rod, and this anchored it it, and prevented it from unwinding by itself.

Well whenever I work the key (it's the action right above the F key) it makes a creaking noise. But now ever since my director screwed it in I have yet to see it work it's way out. I guess it could just be normal, right? A hinge working over time will loosen... Confused??:

Sounds like you need to oil the screws and keys.
