I just got my Yani today. Yes! But there's only one problem, low A won't come out. I think the reason it isn't working is because there's a new pad there, and I don't think it's completely sealing the tonehole. Is it possible for a pad to be so new that it hasn't "formed" around the tonehole yet, and therefore it's not sealing the hole?

| ehh, i don't know. I've never played a low a horn before, so i wouldn't know. I'd say clamp that pad for a while with a key clamp (if you have em, i don't), or with a fat rubber band or something, and leave it there overnight to let it find its seat. That's what i did with the new low Bb pad on my super 20, and it worked very well. If all else goes right, my horn should be in the shop this weekend. w00t! |

BGM....never use rubber bands on any brass instrument for long periods of time as the sulfur in the rubber will damage the lacquer, brass and if silver or gold plated, will destroy the plating. _________________ HIS,
