Are any of you evacuating or preparing for Hurrican Katrina?(saxmaniac, Doc Frazier?) They think it will make landfall on the southeast Louisiana-Mississippi border, which is basically Slidell, LA-the city where I live. Lucky Me! I am asking that if you can please send a prayer to me and my family for this upcoming hurricane. Hopefully we will be safe as we are evacuating to my condo in Baton Rouge.

Thanks to all, David

BTW, All those who live in the path of the storm will be in my prayers.

I'm fine. I don't have Internet in my condo yet, so I'm using a library computer with limited time so I have to type quickly. I'll hopefully be home in a few days where I can use the Internet regulatrlt. My city, Slidell has suffered some major damage from the Hurricane. I went to my house yesterday, and when I entered my neighborhood it looked as though someone had done a very poor job at de-foresting it, for there were trees down EVERYWHERE. Luckily, nhone of them hit my house, and none of the water from the flood entered my home, because of the advanced drainage system that was installed around my house after the last hurricane we were flooded in.

In the part of Slidell that borders Lake Ponchartrain, all of the huge mansions are completely derstroyed. From what I've heard, there was water over the roofs of three-story houses. My step-brother drove his huge truck throught their before it was closed off by the police, and he said, "you could smell the death." He said that there were bodies floating in the street, and that it was absolutely horrible. I'm glad to be alive though, and those affected by this devastiang and deadly Hurricane Katrina are in my thoughts and prayers.
