Has any one heard of Lalatino? The alto is my third instrument and my mom brought home this kind of sax as a Christmas present one year. I have been playing it for a while everyone I ask knows nothing about it.

I haven't heard of it. Searched it up on google and nothing came out. Seems like you've a not so good quality horn. |

| I wrote it wrong. The name was written in an annoying, hard to read cursive. It is a Palatino. What kind of brand is that? Is it sort of a good brand or a bad one? |

Personally, I haven't approached these saxes, but Have seen one. The company itself, makes lots of insturments, such as flutes, viola's, clarinets, saxes and etc.
I'm assuming this is your horn considering they only have one alto.

I personally would think that this horn may be close to matching the quality of a Jupiter (possibly not) This horn would be great to start on, but should need an upgrade after 4-5 yrs. They use some ok quality material such as leather pads, metal resonators, European bell brass and etc. |

Yes thats the right one. I am looking at a nickel plated one. If I recall it right was a good brand. (But at the moment im not sure that anything is right because I just got back from 3 1/2 hour marching pratice.) The only problem is that someone said if it ever needed the welding that the lacquor finish would come off. Isnt this true for all lacquor finished instruments? |
