I don't like the fact that we have two baris in the top jazz band. We should only have one (me). _________________ NEW SAXOPHONE!!!

I dont like the fighting that has been going on in our band recently. Its soooooooooo dramatic and stupid, people can't focus on the music. _________________ Music IS Life

what don't you like about your band
Hmmmm...I don't like the general lack of musical competence I guess, there are only a few "good" players in my band. _________________ Louis Scuderi

Lous Scuderi summed up my sentiments to my band.
The problem with my band is that our school situation is out of wack. i went from being 2nd chair at the best band school in our region to this little dinky new school that has a band composed of only sophomores and freshmen. The only problem is that it's 25 freshmen who make band 'joke time' like 8th grade band with no seriousness in mind and 8 sophomores who try to make it serious. I went from playing level 6's to level 3's I used to be so good and my experience here has just gotten my skills rusty. And to top it all off, that's the top band! During marching band we're all cool though (with a serious lack of discipline though) and perform very well. And our jazz band is very top notch for our circumstances, no problems there. |

yeah I hate how you got people in band just as a blow off class and joke around and stuff. it sucks so bad, its like you wanna learn so much and get dragged down by those who are in it for jokes. _________________ Jason Hamilton

| the tendancies of my, and most other, guitar players to play really loud- "the tone doesn't sound right unless the valves are being pushed". When will they relise we can't just turn ourselves up!!? Argh!!! |

| My school has 2 band directors so hav concert band n symphonic band, symphonic being the better. Symphonic band is really good with a GREAT director who really pushes everyone yet makes it fun. I'm in concert band though. I hate the fact that half our trumpets suck and most our percussionists suck. Our director doesn't push us either. The music is really easy. I played music like 4-5 times harder in my 7th/8th grade band, which was REALLY good (overture for winds, pirates of the carribean, scarborough fair). |
