Mr. Green

I just purchased a tuner to help me follow my playing, it is always off key, I know where my scales are, the tuner never agrees, what am I doing wrong, I have the KORG CA-30 tuner w/pickup, it consistantly levels sharp or flat, no matter the calibration level 410-480Hz

Make sure that A=440...if it's not, then it's the tuner and it's defective. Send it back and get a replacement Mr. Green

THANKS JP
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. WITH THE KORG CA-30, ITS A CHROMATIC TUNER NICE SLEEK LOOKING THING, I TRY ADJUSTING, BUT NOTHING WORKED FOR ME.

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOUR TUNE IS OFF? EVERY HORN I PLAY I GET THE SAME SOUND, WELL DEPENDING ON THE HORN, AND THE MPC. WHEN METAL I GET A PROJECTION CHANGE, AND A LITTLE BRIGHTER, BUT I KNOW ITS AN A WHEN I PLAY IT, HOW CAN I MAKE SURE THAT MY STANDARDS ARE RIGHT?

Do you have access to a keyboard or piano (that preferrably is in tune)? You can do the concert Bb right from there to check your in tune. This will help train your ear as well for in tune/out of tune. Good luck Very Happy

Yep, check it on preferably an electronic keyboard, because pianos can be out of tune, also. I have a CA-30, as well, but haven't had any problems with it.
