...should of thought of this (sax forum) back when I was in high school (WAY before PCs, but I digress). Strictly amateur tenor guy (Selmer Mk VII), started tenor in Junior High, started playing in wedding bands in high school, continued for several years, plus wind ensemble in college. Then pretty much dropped it until a year ago when I got into a community Big Band, at the ripe middle age of 46. Still have a lot to learn, but I have already learned that I love playing again.

those community big bands are usually pretty swinging - whole town's worth of players competing for a few seats
