I listen primarily to jazz and classical, as those are the genres I perform, but I also listen to some classic rock/oldies, funk, and various alternative bands (Radiohead as we speak), and occasional 80's, metal, grunge, etc.

I listen to remixed vid game music on Overclocked remix, and vid game music in general. just about anything orchestral.
be careful in the forums, though. You go there and start making random posts you will get burned. I learned the hard way. You have to lurk those forums before you even think about joining them and posting. no guest function, you have to join to post. genres include everything from jazz and orchestral to trance and techno. There are some good sax pieces, though almost all of it is electronic. Only about three people make the songs from real intruments. You have to hunt for the specific song styles you want to listen to. _________________ I'm just your friendly neighborhood Legomaniac. |

Country all the way! I actually found a song, ( can't remember what exactly which one) that had a tenor solo! It sounded awesome with the guitar in the background! _________________ Music IS Life

blues... old and badly recorded... I'm not a fan of slick blues
older jazz... ellington, basie, parker, mingus, 1960s blue note
funk and afrobeat (Fela Kuti and the like)
east European gypsy stuff
Arabic music (check out Khaled, he's great)
bits of rock (some rock music rather than pebbles)
reggae/ early ska
