BB Code is the forum-adapted version of HTML(HTML is the most commonly used markup language for writing Web sites). At the top of your post you'll see all of the available BB code.

Using BB Code

Now that you know what BB Code is, how do you use it?

It is simple to use. The BB code tags does different things.

Code:
[b][/b]

Makes a word bold. Put the word(so you want to make bold in between the tags. Like so:

Code:
[b]"All music is folk music. I ain't never heard a horse sing a song. -Lousi Arstmring"[/b]

Doing the above makes it creates this; "All music is folk music. I ain't never heard a horse sing a song. -Louis Armstrong"
You do this for any tag. {Look at the very bottom of the page for examples}

(/) makes text bold example: [b]Dave
Code:
[b]Dave[/b]
[quote](/) quotes something example:
Quote:
Charle Rouse is a great sax player
Code:
[quote]Charle Rouse is a great sax player[/quote]
[i(/)] Makes something in italics Example:sax
Code:
[i]sax[/i]
[list] [*] Makes a bullested list Ex:
  • sax
  • mpc
Code:
[list] [*]sax [*]mpc[/list]
[img] Adds image (put URL in between[img] and [/img]) ex:
Code:
[img]http://forumofthesaxes.myfreeforum.org/avatars/myfreeforum_freeforums21/saxophoneforum.myfreeforum.org/45767430042fd3d08c99b8.jpg[/img]
(/)</ td> sets color of font placed between [color] tags ex: [color=green]This text is green
Code:
[color=green]This text is green[/color]
[url](/) Put between a URL(Web address to make it clickable) ex: http://forumofthesaxes.myfreeforum.org
Code:
[url]htt[://forumofthesaxes.myfreeforum.org[/url]
There are also emoticons(smilies) on the side which, when clicked on, will be added into your post. So, as you can see BB code isn't worked up to be, and can certainly make for a more pleasurable forum experience! I hope that you have found this tutorial helpful. Dave

A new BBCode has been added into the myfreeforum systems. It is
Quote:
[spolier][/spoiler]
which produces something that looks like this:
Spoiler:

sax

I don't really see much of a use for it here though.
