I love this topic. Usually post on a similar thread on SOTW whenever I am on. Basically one posts what song(s) they are listening to at the moment. I'll start it off:
Dexter Gordon-"Fried Bananas"

I think I'll break this whole jazz thing you have going down... I'm listening to:
I Write Sins not Tragedy's by Panic! at the Disco
But I do listen to a lot of Jazz..On the Sunny Side of the Street is like the best song out of all the one's you all listed. Do any of you know who did vocals on it? |

That was Diz, man.
Now I'm listening to "Via Con Me" by Paolo Conte, because someone just made me find out what it was for them...on headphones - Jazz Impressions of Japan (album) by The Dave Brueck Quartet is playing on the stereo. :p |

Stan Getz with Astrud Gilberto-"The Girl From Ipanema" Great song. Too bad this is only a 59 sec clip. I found it on this Web site, http://www.jerryjazzmusician.com/linernotes/bunny_4.html
Great site. Lots of free jazz clips!

Kenny Burrell- Midnight blue... great bluesy jam album with some great playing by Stanley Turrentine. That classic 1960s blue notes sound.. love it! _________________ "Cease this infernal tootling!" Montgomery Burns. |
