It seemed like a good deal at $175 in ready-to-play condition, including a good mouthpiece. The Signet had come recommended to me by several folks, plus the seller allows a seven day trial period.

My clarinet arrived yesterday afternoon, so I've been able to spend a bit of time on it. For the record, it's actually a Signet Soloist (the top Signet model, although I hear all three play similarly), not the Signet 100 as I mistakenly posted. I'm using a Selmer B* mouthpiece with a stock lig, and Vandoren blue box 3's (they feel just a little soft, so I think I'll move up to 3.5's pretty soon). It's a lot of fun to play, and definitely not as hard as I expected. _________________ My sound clips. |
